Jon was born into a veterinary family and spent several years working in first opinion small animal practice and a short spell in OOH practice. He has worked at the Royal Veterinary College, University of Cambridge and University of Edinburgh. He has been head of soft tissue surgery at Wear Referrals (a Linneaus hospital in County Durham) since 2019 and Professor in small animal surgery at the University of Nottingham since 2020. He has the usual litany of specialist things going on, but mainly enjoys practicing and teaching soft tissue surgery.
